Well last night was the first night at the strip and it didn't take long to understand that the Hankook V12 would not hook up. Even with the current tires spinning I managed low 9 but I think I should be in the low 8. Of course I can't blame the slow time just on my car because the driver was just as much at fault. Going forward I would like recommendations for a strip tire and wheel set up. Currently I have BBS LM wheels with the Hankook V12 285/35-18 rear and 255/35-18 front. Not sure if there is such a thing as a good street legal drag tire. One concern is that I have to drive to the strip which is about 1.5 hours away. One option I was considering is to change the rear tires at the track. I really don't plan to drag race on a regular basis but just want to go on import nights and with my friends. With that being said I am looking for cost effective options since it will be very limited use. I will also look into the Blitz SBC program to determine how to effective control the boost for drag racing. Any thoughts, recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks for looking.
